The CLA career office is located in 135 Johnston Hall.This office can help you every year you're at the U of M. If you haven't picked a major, they'll help you find one that's a good fit. Through them you can explore career options, and connect them to CLA majors.
Whenever you're ready, this office can also help you find internships, prepare for a job search, look for jobs, or research graduate school options. They do this with print and web materials, personal assistance, workshops, events, classes and more.
It's up to you to take advantage of your career office. Visit it in person and online. You don't need an appointment to stop by. Browse their materials on your own, or talk with a peer adviser who's been in your shoes. If you need more help, make an appointment with a professional career counselor.
After they graduate, many students say their career office had a huge impact on their success during and after college. Others say they wish they'd used their career office more. Be the student who gets as much from your career office as you can.
