A good place to start when you have questions is your CLA Student Community and your student community adviser. Call us for a referral.
Directed study/research allows you to design and carry out an independent project, working one-on-one with a faculty member. After you arrange your project with an instructor and department, bring your Student/Faculty contract to us for College Approval.
If you are returning to school after an absence, submit your Application for Readmission here. We can process most readmissions on the same day.

Students in other undergraduate colleges on the Twin Cities campus
You can earn CLA majors and minors along with your degree. To declare a major or minor, make an appointment with an adviser in the department offering the program, then bring your major/minor program form to the Student Information Office. We'll arrange to have it posted to your record, and update your APAS, too.
